(This is Part 3 of a series. Go back to Part 2.)
Einstein said that we can't solve our problems at the level at which they arose, that is, the level at which they're a problem. Only at a higher level can our human challenges be solved.
When you fall in love with the world you will suddenly know what the right thing for you to do is. It will bubble up as intuition or inner guidance or whatever we want to call it, and it will be clear and it will be loving and it will be filled with infinite possibility.
And then from that place, as said before, you'll most likely be much more effective in whatever it is you're doing to nurture the world in your corner of things.
And in surrendering to your own inner guidance you'll be journeying in a direction that's aligned with the infinite, that is, the infinite will be travelling inside you, and perhaps even more accurately, the infinite will be travelling inside itself on a journey that's called "you."
And when you do fall in love with the world, you'll become one of humanity's teachers. Because what else is there to teach, really, but love? Spiritual engineering? Seven axioms about whatever?
It's all dry and meaningless unless it's leavened with love. And if you embody love, you can read the phone book to your students and they'll get it.
We need a teacher, and when you fall in love with us you'll become our teacher.
The world is about to enter a grim period on the external plane. But do you remember Shakespeare's King Lear, his greatest play? Lear goes from being an arrogant king to losing everything.
He loses his power and his possessions and finally he's homeless and out in a field with just his fool for company. And even that's not the end of it: The downward slide continues until at the end of the play he must bear the death of even his favorite daughter. On the external plane, one catastrophe after another.
But on the spiritual plane, Lear is travelling in exactly the opposite direction. He's climbing and climbing in clarity, heart, awareness, kindness. And this spiritual climb is made possible by the downward spiral that happens; he wouldn't have had to look deeply otherwise. The arrogant king was never going to look.
So it will be with the world. As the world spirals down on the external plane, enduring financial and environmental and other catastrophes, it will start climbing on the spiritual plane. It's already beginning to happen, but this is just the beginning.
As the world spirals downward, it will need some "love seeds" to form a critical mass. This critical mass can and will eventually transform all of us so that we fall in love with ourselves at last and see ourselves everywhere.
I believe you will play a part in that. You will be one of the world's seeds if you "choose" to be so; part of the critical mass of humanity that helps to transform the world through love to its true nature—to our true nature as human beings, to our true nature as the beating heart of planet earth.
