Trading & Investing Strategies

(Back to the Ocean Theory or Ocean Software main pages.)

Many types of traders and investors can benefit from the marvelous powers of the Ocean Software. Here are some examples:

Day Traders. Day trading is a precision miracle with the Ocean Software, in part because it is designed to work on all timeframes -
10-minute, 60-minute, 3-minute, you name it. The mathematics was designed from the first to adapt itself to any and all timeframes.

Market Timers. Ocean Theory has many powerful tools for calling turns effectively. The STX Shadow was expressly designed for this purpose and performs it admirably. A cornucopia of other Ocean tools support this function superbly as well.

Gold Investors. In these increasingly inflationary times, gold & silver in many ways stand out as the premier investments. But timing is paramount—for getting in, for adding to positions, and for reducing positions during large downdrafts in the overall bullish environment.

Futures Traders. Since futures traders are using high leverage, it is essential that they have professional-level tools for entering, managing and exiting trades. When a serious mistake can be fatal, one must leave amateur tools behind.

ETF Investors. Any market which can be charted can be examined by the Ocean indicators, which include specific tools for setting stop-loss orders based on the most sophisticated possible analysis of the tension between maximizing profits and stopping losses.

Short Sellers. The professional short seller must perform at a higher level than most, since potential losses are unlimited. On the other hand, since markets tend "to slide faster than they glide," the potential for profits-per-unit-time is greater if one's timing is impeccable.

Value Investors. Using a fundamental value strategy does not mean that one can ignore timing. An investor can waste weeks, months or years waiting for price to "catch up" to value. The Ocean tools allow one to enter value positions when they are fully ripe & ready to move.

Options Traders. The smart options trader is continually adjusting the balance of his or her positions based on movement of the underlying asset. The Ocean Software is superb at helping you to do just that—and for option writers, at fully taking advantage of range-bound markets.

Retirement Investors. Investors who need income need more than just identifying high-income stocks with strong financials (a task easily done online). The missing ingredient is to identify those income vehicles which also offer potential for capital appreciation and strong resistance to capital decline. Long-term Ocean tools are ideally suited to this task.

Forex Traders. Because currencies usually have a tendency to trend more than other markets, and since the Ocean Software has no equal for identifying the end of retracements in an underlying trend, it provides the essential pinpoint accuracy needed for entering and exiting the very high-leverage forex markets.

Resource Investors. As "peak everything" is approached in coming years, protection of assets will increasingly necessitate investments in energy and natural resources. But not all resources are appropriate at any given time. The Ocean tools are unequalled in locating the "gems" among natural resource investment vehicles.

Brokers & Portfolio Managers. The Ocean Software may be essential for you if you are an asset manager—but only if you are single-minded about keeping your clients and asset portfolios profitable, appreciating, and in the right vehicles at the right time. As the old saying goes, if you take care of your clients—and the Ocean software is designed to do just that—they will take care of you.
